This is a very old, pre-WWI silk kimono nagajuban from between 1900 and 1918. It is made of bright red-orange silk that is rinzu-woven with an abstract leaf pattern. It is covered with white traditional Mons crests of flowers, waves and butterflies. It is accented with hand block-printed metallic gold squares. It has very long sleeves. There is a white cotton muslin collar and there is no haneri collar attached. It is lined in silk and has a silk padded hemline.
It is in very good condition structurally but shows a fair number of smudges throughout, on the collar and along the hem, examples of this are shown in the 4th photo.
Measurements are approximate, taken flat and then doubled where necessary. See last photo for diagram to explain how measurements are taken.
