Vintage 1950s dress in a deep eggplant purple silk. Short sleeve shape with v-neckline, back metal zipper and interior hook/eye clasp at the waist. Box pleats below the waist in front and back. Skirt fabric is backed with a very fine netting that gives it a bit of structure, otherwise unlined. Impeccably tailored and in excellent condition, I can find only one small hole in the skirt portion, below the waist in front, shown on right side of last photo.
Made by Goodman for Stix, Baer and Fuller, no size tag. The fabric tests as silk.
The measurements listed below were taken while dress was laying flat and doubled where appropriate. Shown on a US size 10 dress form and clipped in the back for shape. This would best fit a size US 10 to 12.
