Vintage 1970s Leather Travel Overnight Bag / Convertible Cross Body

Extremely unique vintage 1970s weekender bag in medium brown leather. This bag fully folds in and collapses down to a small cross body bag. When expanded there is a main compartment and three outside pockets with flaps. Two pockets snap shut, one has a brass tone slide clasp. The main compartment has a top nylon zipper and two hand straps on either side. The shoulder strap detaches from the bag by unsnapping at the rings. It can be reattached to the small rings for the collapsed cross body bag configuration. When collapsed, the cross body bag shows just the smaller three pockets on either side. The leather is very soft and malleable to allow it to be tucked in and zipped down to the smaller size. The interior is not lined. Bag weighs approximately 2.5 lbs.

It is in very good condition, showing light wear to the exterior and a bit of writing on the interior. See all the photos.

There is no maker’s mark or other tags. I have seen countless bags like this made of nylon or fabric but never one made of leather. This is truly unique.
