Description
Vintage 1960s kimono robe in black semi-sheer Ro silk with a butterfly print. Ro silk is woven by twisting and skipping some threads, creating an open striped effect in the weave, and giving it a chiffon gauze like quality to the fabric. Not lined, it is perfect for summer weather. It comes with simple sash. It is in very good condition, a couple scattered marks, one inside the lapel. See last photo.
Please note: This kimono is 100% silk. Ro weaving creates a fabric that is more slick on the surface and feels different, more like a gauze. It does not feel like what you may think of as traditional silk.
